The Utility Consumer Advocate (UCA) is part of the Alberta Government’s Ministry of Affordability and Utilities. Established in October 2003, the UCA helps consumers navigate Alberta's utility market. Unlike many other provinces, Alberta’s energy utility system offers consumers the freedom to choose their utility providers.
